The Be Kind People Project is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit focused on initiating positive social change in elementary and middle schools by promoting kind and healthy lifestyles. Our mission is to improve the learning environment by supporting student success and reducing unwanted behavior issues. The Be Kind People Project’s unique programs provide an innovative framework for youth development that integrates social, emotional, academic, and health education.

Research and Results Specialist

Research and Results Specialists will learn and develop new skills and gain experience with creating surveys, analyzing data, and using a variety of computer programs to apply to logic model and determine school outcomes. The Research and Results Member will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data from the schools and students served by the AmeriCorps projects and will have the opportunity to take ownership of this project that is related to the field of educational/psychological research, results, and metrics.

Learning Specialist

The BE KIND CREW Learning Specialist Members will have the opportunity for creativity, collaboration, and communication to inspire the promotion and development of programs and services offered by The Be Kind People Project. This position will offer diverse education-based experiences by working directly with The National Director of School Programs and Professional Development in the areas of creative practices, curriculum involvement, formatting lesson materials, lesson planning, and student and classroom engagement.

Videography Curriculum Specialist

The Videography Curriculum Specialist Member is responsible for translating social and emotional learning via videos that will support and enhance youth learning in the schools served by the AmeriCorps project for 2022-23. This individual must have a passion for videography and attention to detail. Additional responsibilities include video storage and organization, editing, and distribution to schools.

Graphic Design Member

The Graphic Design AmeriCorps Member will assist in the development of creative copy, worksheets, and lessons, graphic arts, and new and productive ways to leverage the social and emotional learning model of The Be Kind People Project. This position will offer hands-on experience with photo editing, page and layout design, and digital production. Responsibilities: Graphic design of grade-specific learning materials Photo editing for lessons inclusion Page layout and design Assist with digital production Creative development

School Curriculum Development Specialist

The School Curriculum Development Specialist Member will work directly with the National Manager of Creative Education Practices and Manager of Curriculum to plan, research, prepare, and provide academic, social and emotional, and wellness grade-specific lessons for K-8th grade students.

Community Volunteer Member

The Community Volunteer Member will be responsible for coordinating the work of AmeriCorps Members and engaging support from the community for the benefit of the schools involved. Responsibilities: -Organizing and implementing recruitment strategies for volunteers -Management and coordination of AmeriCorps Member information for benefit of finance department -Recruiting and managing community volunteers for school-focused events and efforts -Onboarding of all volunteers for project

School Engagement Specialist

The School Engagement Specialist, known as a Kindness Concierge, will provide the opportunity to work alongside our School Program Development Manager in designated schools to coordinate and schedule all The Be Kind People Project programming, implement follow-up classroom activities, collect metrics from schools, communicate with administration about benchmark results, distribute classroom materials, and serve as school’s troubleshooter. This position will offer diverse experiences working with teachers, students, and schools.

After School and Summer Learning Specialist

The BE KIND CREW After School and Summer Learning Specialist Members will have the opportunity for creativity, collaboration, and communication to inspire the promotion and development of programs and services offered by The Be Kind People Project. This position will offer diverse education-based experiences by working directly with The National Director of School Programs and Professional Development in the areas of creative practices, curriculum involvement, formatting lesson materials, lesson planning, and student and after school class instruction.
