Edwin was born and raised in Puerto Rico and relocated to Arizona in 2000. He retired from Intel Corporation after 29 years of service and joined The Be Kind People Project in March 2021. Edwin lives in Phoenix with his wife; their adult daughter lives in Seattle.
His favorite skill from The Be Kind Pledge is *BE SUPPORTIVE*! He believes when someone needs help, being supportive is very important for each other.
One thing about his heritage that he loves the most is “the value placed on family. Family is a pilar of our culture."
And lastly, this year’s theme of Hispanic Heritage month from the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers is “Esperanza: A Celebration or Hispanic Heritage and Hope”. So we asked, “what does Hispanic Heritage and Hope look like to you?” His response was, "Hope is a light that never fades, and the one thing you don’t want to lose is hope."
