Swimming is the fourth most popular sports activity in the United States and an excellent way to get regular aerobic physical exercise. It provides individuals with an easy yet effective way to get in their physical activity.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. Plus, exercising in water puts less strain on the body, which can help you work out longer!
Diving Deeper
Swimming provides excellent aerobic exercise that can improve overall physical and mental health, and it is also a fun way to get in your workout! Swimming has also been related to lower stress and improved moods.
A sporty swim
Swimming in your backyard pool or local swimming pool is a great way to get exercise. However, there are a plethora of water sports that can help you get active. A few of the most common watersports are surfing, synchronized swimming, and synchronized diving.
There are many different ways you can utilize swimming to improve your health; what is most important is creating a healthy relationship with physical activity, and the rest will follow!
