Fostering Kindness and Empowering Youth: A Look at the 2025 BE KIND Summer Camps

As summer approaches, many families begin the search for meaningful, fun, and enriching experiences for their children. In Phoenix, Arizona, one standout opportunity is making a big impact—The 2025 BE KIND Summer Camps, hosted by The BE KIND People Project® at The BE KIND Community Education Center. These unique camps are not just about keeping kids busy—they’re about shaping future leaders through the powerful values of kindness, respect, and responsibility.

A Summer Full of Purpose and Play

The 2025 BE KIND Summer Camps will run weekly from June 2 to June 26, operating Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with optional before and after care available from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM for an additional $80 per week. Each camp costs $200 per week, offering incredible value for a lineup filled with creativity, movement, and character-building experiences.

Held at The BE KIND Community Education Center, located at 731 Grand Avenue in Phoenix, AZ, these camps are ideal for children in kindergarten through 8th grade. Registration is now open, and spots are expected to fill quickly.

Each week of camp has a different theme, ensuring returning campers experience something fresh and exciting every time. Here’s a closer look at the 2025 camp schedule:

2025 Weekly Camp Themes

  • Week 1: Kindness & Beyond Summer Break Camp (June 2–5)
Blast off to an intergalactic journey where kindness rules the universe! Campers will “visit” 12 different planets, each focused on acts of kindness, friendship, creativity, and health. This imaginative week integrates movement, storytelling, and creativity with the spirit of The Be Kind Pledge™.
  • Week 2: BE KIND Summer Camp (June 9–12)
This week centers on bringing kindness to life. Campers will participate in activities like dance, video creation, visual arts, and community service, while deepening their understanding of kindness and making lasting friendships.
  • Week 3: Be Fit. Be Healthy. Be Kind. Camp (June 16–19)
Focused on the power of healthy living, this week inspires kids to embrace wellness through dance, exercise, healthy cooking, and kindness-based education. It’s a dynamic mix of fitness, nutrition, and compassion.
  • Week 4: #CyberSkills Camp (June 23–26)
In a world that’s increasingly digital, this camp equips kids with the skills to be safe, smart, and kind online. Campers will explore topics like coding, website creation, digital citizenship, green screen video production, and more—all while learning to apply kindness in every post, comment, and click.

Activities That Engage and Inspire

Each day at camp is thoughtfully designed to blend fun with meaningful learning. Campers engage in a full lineup of activities that challenge their minds, energize their bodies, and uplift their spirits. Daily programming includes:

  • Dance and movement with THE BE KIND CREW
  • Creative arts including painting, drawing, and craft projects
  • Fitness games and challenges that encourage teamwork and healthy habits
  • Character education built around The Be Kind Pledge™
  • Green screen video production for fun, hands-on tech experience
  • Social skill development through group games, team projects, and peer interaction

It’s not just summer fun—it’s an intentional experience to help children develop the tools they need to thrive emotionally, socially, and physically.

Why Kindness Education Matters More Than Ever

In today’s fast-paced and often divided world, teaching kindness isn’t just “nice”—it’s essential. The BE KIND Summer Camps go beyond traditional programming by infusing every lesson, game, and interaction with messages of respect, empathy, and integrity.

Through The Be Kind Pledge™, campers learn ten core principles of kindness, including being encouraging, supportive, positive, and helpful. These aren’t just words—they’re turned into action every single day through real-world applications that children can understand and practice.

Studies show that character education programs like those offered by The BE KIND People Project® significantly improve student behavior, social awareness, and even academic performance. According to survey data, schools that implement The Be Kind People Project® programs report:

  • A 20% reduction in behavioral issues
  • An 11% increase in standardized test scores
  • 91% of parents say character education positively impacts their child’s success
  • 92% of teachers see real benefits in their students from kindness-based instruction

The goal isn’t just to prevent negative behaviors—but to proactively teach positive ones. These camps help young people build a lifelong foundation for making thoughtful decisions, building healthy relationships, and becoming kind leaders in their communities.

Led by Role Models: THE BE KIND CREW®

One of the most inspiring aspects of camp is the involvement of THE BE KIND CREW®—a diverse group of talented performers, educators, and role models who lead activities with energy, positivity, and purpose. Known for their dynamic school performances, THE BE KIND CREW® brings the same enthusiasm and expertise to summer camps, helping campers build confidence and have fun while learning.

Each member of the CREW serves as a positive example of how to live out The Be Kind Pledge™—on and off the stage. They lead dance sessions, guide arts and character-building lessons, and support campers in developing critical life skills with kindness at the core.

Creating Community and Lasting Memories

One of the best parts of the BE KIND Summer Camps is the sense of community that’s built throughout the weeks. Campers are encouraged to be themselves, try new things, and make new friends in a safe, inclusive environment. Whether a child is shy, outgoing, creative, athletic, or somewhere in between—there’s a place for everyone at BE KIND camp.

Many campers return year after year, and it’s easy to see why. With a balance of structured learning and open exploration, the camp provides an ideal setting for kids to grow emotionally, mentally, and socially—all while having a blast.

Parents often report that their children come home from camp more confident, cooperative, and expressive. They notice improved communication, more thoughtful decision-making, and a stronger sense of empathy.
