Yummy Summer!

There is no better feeling than having all of the people you love sitting around a table filled with a meal made together with love! With summer right around the corner, the kiddos will be home and hungry for some home-cooked yummies. This week, let’s cook up some family-friendly recipes that everyone can help with and enjoy!

The Most Important Meal of the Day!

A wise owl once said, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” So, why not start each day on the right foot with these cute and easy Wise Owl Fruity Toasts.

Start by choosing a base (English muffins, pancakes, bagel, etc.), applying your spread of choice (peanut butter, cream cheese, etc.), and adding your favorite fruit toppings! Feel free to mix up the combinations for endless flavorful fun! You can easily modify gluten and dairy-free options to accommodate all diets.

Lunch Rush

If you’re working from home, lunch prep may be a little difficult, so why not leave the cooking to the kids? Building a tortilla pizza is great for chefs of all sizes! By making cooking fun and personal, it’s perfect for any picky eater! Choose your tortilla base, pizza sauce, cheese, and throw on any toppings you have available for this quick and tasty low-calorie lunch.

The recipe suggests using a brown rice tortilla (gluten-free), sugar-free pizza sauce, turkey pepperoni, spinach, mushrooms, veggies of choice, and low moisture mozzarella. Feel free to get creative to cater to your family’s taste buds!

Snack time, best time!

A day filled with play often leads to a hungry belly mid-afternoon. Nothing beats the heat quite like snacking on a rainbow fruit salad. Combine all fruity friends into a bowl and serve – it’s THAT easy. If you’re feeling fancy, drizzle with honey and lime dressing.

Super Supper!

Let’s end the day with a delicious and easy veggie lasagna! These recipes are perfect for sneaking in those greens for our picky eaters. Get everyone involved in the meal prep by allowing each family member to contribute a delicious layer (ex. you do the sauce, someone else does the cheese, etc.). Sort through this list to find the perfect panned pasta for your people – vegetarian, vegan, low-fat, whole wheat, the list goes on!
