“Be Kind to Kansas City Kids” Event on November 12
On November 12, 2011, The Be Kind People Project™ held a free event for the public on The Country Club Plaza. We collected donations of unused school supplies, electronic games and sporting equipment.
Check out our photo album from the day’s events:
This event also coincided with World Kindness Week! Hundred of people came out to show kindness toward Kansas City schools, teachers and kids by through their donations of supplies! These supplies were distributed to designated schools through the Kansas City metro area the following week to help engage students in activities that are fun, constructive and personally rewarding.
We also inspired kindness among our kids! Students signed the “BEE KIND KID™” pledge and received a Pledge Card to carry as a reminder of what it takes to be a Kind Kid.
Look for pictures and highlights from the deliveries on Facebook & Twitter (@BeKindPpl)! And check out the news stories on our efforts… thank you National and Kansas City Media for your interest in advocating for teachers!
